dubnobass... tour announced!
A few weeks ago I grumbled that Underworld were appearing at the Royal Festival Hall and no-ne had told me. It had sold out, obv. Someone’s been listening as there’s going to be a small UK/Europe tour next March. Details below, plus some Dark and Long for your listening pleasure.
There’s a Dark and Long live performance below. But I hadn’t realised that the track had been remixed by Christian Smith a few years back. This followed his remix of Carl Craig’s At Les. Like that remix, Christian offers no radical remix, instead goes for a slightly more upbeat and focused version of the original. It’s only in the dub version that he allows himself more latitude, with some twangy bass and more whooshing.
Following unprecedented demand for tickets to Underworld’s 20th anniversary live performance of their album dubnobasswithmyheadman at London’s iconic Royal Festival Hall, the band are pleased to announce a series of additional shows.
These unique and intimate performances will take place throughout March 2015 across the UK and Europe. Each night, Underworld’s Rick Smith and Karl Hyde will perform their landmark work in full.
