HYPNOTONE

Hypnotone were a short-lived dance group comprising Martin Mittler and Tony Martin. They were the first proper dance act on Creation Records in 1990. But in 1992 the duo split up, with Tony Martin taking the name and releasing two further records as Hypnotone on First Love Records in 1992 and 1993. And one of those provide today’s tracks.

The press release for Be Good To Me (1992) says:

“Since departing from Creation and being pursued by numerous major labels, Hypnotone have signed to the new Manchester based house label First Love.

 

Mancunian DJ and writer Dave Haslam is behind the label which has its debut release from Hypnotone on November 9th, entitled Be Good To Me and featuring the most recent additon to Hypnotone’s line-up, singer Cordelia Ruddock.”
