NEW MUSIC: DETROIT GRAND PUBAHS
New single out on 13 December from Detroit Grand Pubahs. They’ve been around for over ten years but I hadn’t heard anything by them since their early days when they were more in a funky style. New record “White Pigeons” takes things in a electro techno direction and includes surprise mixes from Orlando Voorn in his own name and Basic Bastard guise.

The original is fair enough and the Basic Bastard mix is a lovely piece of Deep House. But the real surprise is the Orlando Voorn remix. This starts off in a staccato, techno style before drifting off onto a lovely synthy, dreamy, uplifting section in the middle and then coming back to a clicky techno syle. Nine minutes of quality.
