Takuya Kashiwada: Wear The God, Execute It Remixes EP Pt. 1 (Red EP)
Japanese artist Takuya Kashiwada’s album Wear The God, Execute It gets remixed. A couple selected from those for your listening pleasure. Both are 3am tracks, so expect techno. Out on 1 May.
First, Syphon (Parity Records’ owner) takes a turn. His remix is one of those tracks that gradually winds itself up in a clattering that eventually allows the rolling beats through. But it’s going to make you wait for the break until you beg. Relief doesn’t comes until way after 2 mins when the chiming synth comes in. Clever mix.
JAK provides a much more serious=faced remix, despite the sampled laughter. This is metronomic beats that ride along in a tech house way until the bass thrubbs its way into your cold soul. A very different approach to Syphon but equally effective.
