Lamont – Titanic (Swamp81)
Lamont gives us Titanic. This track is vast in intent but full of strange and strangely compelling sounds.
Lamont is from Bristol, so you’d expect Greater Eastern, rather than Belfast’s Titanic. But there you go. This is apparently hammered on dance floors. Goodness knows how though. Even in the olden days I’d have struggled to dance to this. It’s one for which you have to stop and wonder. There’s all manner of sound, dub and electronic skank. Without hefty drums it manages to sound a vast tune pinging off into space only to return minutes later. Awesome.
This comes with Eyes Closed, which has the same dub vastness of intent but manages to be slightly more intimate through the addition of a few violin
