Two sides of Saturday with BlueFish and Best Friend

A couple of contrasting tunes for a counterpoint Saturday. BlueFish offers upbeat joy whilst Best Friend is more chilled.

BlueFish provides Simulation. The thing that they’re trying to simulate is the epiphany of joy. In Simulation they come close with it’s automaton samples and uplifting chiming synth sounds. A rush of endorphins.

Best Friend’s tune Sometimes Oh Damn is a chilled, trip hop affair. The wash of drums, the aching vocal and the piano transcend the lazy dinner party music comparisons. This is how music for cocktails should be.
