Election day: Baile and Craig Olsen

It’s General Election day here in the UK. If you’ve not voted yet, please do. That’s the most important thing. And vote for something positive, not a negative fear of ‘the other’.

Meanwhile, a couple of gentle tunes from Baile and Chris Olsen.

Baile offers Know, with vocal samples from Szjerdene. Samples as the vocal is used as another musical element, rather than centrepiece. The tune has a soft engaging clatter and one of those one note synth lines that inveigle you in. Charming.

Chris Olsen’s Space Guardian is a lovely tune. For me, slightly spoilt by the opening synth line that’s been over used on electronic space tracks. Ignore the first 15 seconds or so and the track builds into something quite lovely around a central synth motif. A space adventure of hope, not dystopia. Space Guardian is taken from the Electronic Collision EP, out now.
