A weary old Wednesday for me. These two tracks reflect that, with downtempo from Alex Starfield and Drinking Pills.

Alex Starfield’s Yi offers a downtempo world weariness in the beats that stumble over their feet and a piano line that continues in spite of being out for the count. That’s a clever trick to pull off without sounding mannered or dull.

Drinking Pills offer something more heroic on Remnant, downtempo but with a really catchy synth hook. This has an epic quality through the continuous choir chorus. An uplifting tune.
