Hidden Orchestra – Wingbeats (Max Cooper Remix – Radio Edit)
It’s been far too long since we had any Max Cooper. I’ve been slack. Let’s change that with his remix of Hidden Orchestra’s Wingbeats.
It’s a classic piece of Max Cooper remixing. There’s an ambient feel to it fom the piano and strings and yet the beats and other noise is surprisingly tough. It manages to never quite reconcile the balance between the tune, leaving you tantilisingly always just off balance. Max says “one of my favourite live acts – Hidden Orchestra. It was a pleasure working with all their beautifully recorded live instrumentation. I tried to complement the performance dynamics with computational noodling to match, and it turned into a bit of a sprawling epic.”
