Monday’s techno twosome comes from Rinsed and !nertia #techno #ambient #house

Let’s start the week with a couple of techno offerings from Rinsed and !nertia.

Rinsed first. A US duo (Dan Wender and Blacky II) coming from a club background offer No Remorse. This really ought to be a Motorhead number with that title but instead of walls of bass and rock there’s a light sprinking of synths and some repetitive beats. It’s a rich stew of house and techno flavours, seasoned with a sprinkling of psychedelia and the warm air of the night.

Next, !nertia with a tune that owes as much to ambient as techno. Although from the Netherlands, the track is the not very Dutch sounding CeroCeroUno. A track of wheezes and whooshes that makes the most of its unusual beats time sig to offer a thought-provoking piece. It has a subtle but effective way of occuping space without the need to really intrude. There’s almost something of the art installation about it, such that it comes as no surprise that the blurb says “His live electronic performances have different shapes like art exhibitions and sound installations.”
