All back to the 90s with Chris Wayfarer and Barchi #acid #house #techno #electronic

A couple of tunes that have more than a passing regard to the acid huse 90s from Chris Wayfarer and Barchi.

Chris Wayfarer offers one of many which starts like New York house before abruptly getting transatlantic to London and a bit of acid flavoured by funky drummer beats. Notwithstanding his German origin this doesn’t half sound like mid-90s London. This is almost too much a flashback but just about avoids a pure nostalgia trap through some crisp beats and a lovely synth line that offers more of a nod to the present day.

Another tune that’s got more than a little acid to it is Barchi’s Take Smooth. Barchi may be from Brazil, but there’s no real Latin here. It’s all teutonic acid techno and some fine tech beats. He says “trying to take a psychedelic inside the techouse.” You hit the nail on the head, I’d say.
