Attaque – Don’t Leave Me #electronic

Attaque is back with a new one out tomorrow. Don’t Leave Me is an ambitious track of house and downtempo without ever quite settling in either. The vocal speaks, unsurprisingly, of anxiety and loss – or rather anticipated loss. Meanwhile, the electronics speak of an upward trajectory and anticipated house euphoria. The beats are fierce and want a major sound system for full effect. This isn’t some mimsy stay at home tune. This is out and proud.

It’s hardly surprising therefore that Attaque says the track “In Writing Don’t Leave Me I wanted to capture a interesting juxtaposition between an exciting club feel and an underlying sad emotive element. Like the post festival feeling, when you want it to carry on forever but a sadness simmers away as you know it’s coming to an end.”

Whether you’re happy or say you’ll enjoy the ache of this track.
