Lomea – Ideologue (Alternate Version) #electronic #downtempo #cinematic

A welcome return for Lomea and Ideologue (Alternate Version). This version has a downtempo cinematic feel to it starting off stripped back before becoming fuller later on.  It opens around some laid back 12 string guitar before spiralling off with the synths but never quite getting free of the earth’s clutches. It’s a windswept plain, a stormy forest, alone and unloved. But it carries on nonetheless. All of which makes it a surprise that Lomea says of the track “a reaction to and inspired by world events, which seem increasingly driven by ideologues of all political stripes.” Politics or pine forests? You decide.
