A good Monday to you. A couple of perky but downtempo tunes to start the working week from bloodkneeves and Common Tiger.

Common Tiger first with Heck Yes! No idea what yes is being said to. But this is a gently chiming tune with a guitar motif and rising and falling electronics. This allows the perky centre a touch of melancholy. Americana with electronics. A nouveau US folk sound. A rolling landscape. All of this and more in three and a half minutes.

Germany’s bloodkneeves returns with a delightfully chilled track on Good Ideas. Wood blocks tap and block. Xylophones plonk. Beats trip and clatter. There’s a sigh of synths and a hush of tones. It’s all terribly pretty and more than a little clever. Boards of Canada revisted somehow. The equivalent of a satin bow in your hair.
