Midweek downtempo from Co Loom and Cem Sari #chill #downtempo #electronica

A couple of downtempo tunes as we reach the middle of the week from Co Loom and Cem Sari. One resting on the organ and one on guitar as their respective centrepieces.

Co Loom is James Dobson from Melbourne, Australia. Seven is the track. This is the first single from forthcoming album Elix. The track is one of those small and cute ones. It’s built around a lovely stabbing organ refrain that spirals endlessly throughout the track. This is full of all things sugar and spice. It’s total duvet day music. Lie back and enjoy.

And on Soundcloud

Next, Cem Sari who offers Ambrosia. This is the title track of his current EP. The tune is built around some jittery but largely laidback indie guitar which works rather well in its electronic setting. All too often such guitar makes a tune not quite work in either direction. But this is a confident, slightly swaggering sort of track despite its chilled stance. The guitar is partially offset by a counterpoiting organ line that acts as a kind of brake on the guitar’s anxieties. If you’ve got some autumn or spring sunlight where you are then this is perfect for you.
