After a run of techno tracks here’s Australia’s sad face with get away from his ok i love you ep. This is deep house as minimal downtempo. A sad slow piano opens the track before some strings and kalimba come in to play. The track is a mix of deep house rhythms and downtempo wistfulness. It says “we’ve got to get away” but whom or what is never clear. Is it to escape someone or to go to someone? The track is cute but ineffably sad in some indefinable way. As if getting away is losing something in the process.
