Downtempo Sunday with: slow asleep, and Co Loom #Downtempo #Electronic #NewMusic

Not sleeping very well at the moment. Need some early morning soothing. This is provided by slow asleep and Co Loom.

slow asleep is partly from the UK. This started as a solo project in Cornwall but is now an international threesome. They offer us the fuzziness of Ever. This is a chiming, low end track with a fizzing, crackling air. A three minute chill down. All minor keys and sleepiness. Just right for tired eyes (and ears). Naptastic.

Next, the return of Co Loom. From Melbourne, Australia and bringing the track Fizzy. Taken from forthcoming debut album Elix, this definitely has sound similarities to people like Lemon Jelly and early Bent. A slow burbling disco funk with added trickiness. Manages to be both downtempo chill but with a sense of cheery optimism. Even teeters on the edge of epic happiness. A really cute track that bodes well for the soon come album.
