From the USA comes The Roost with Moxie. Now he’s either from Plattsburgh, New York if you believe Soundcloud or West Linn, Orgon if you believe Bandcamp. Either way what you get is a stompingly good downtempo track. Hardly surprising then that ‘moxie’ means force of character, determination, or nerve. This track manages massed keyboards with everything set to drone alongside some almost dub beats with a big fat crunch. And then some big space reggae whooshes. All in a little over two minutes. A downtempo psychedelic experience of horse tranquiliser intensity.
