At the front line: LEHNBERG x Slim Vic – Vid Fronten #Electronic

Some darkly romantic ambient from Swedes Lehnberg and Slim Vic.

The track is Vid Frontem (tr. at the front line). This is lost electronic wandering. Dark enveloping electronics get lit with some slow romantic piano. The whole effect is depressing and despairing but with just a little glimmer of hope. But that hope is far away. There aren’t beats in the usual sense. There’s a juddering bass that acts as a substitute. This is the ambient-as-soundscape that it’s ok to like. It would work wonderfully with some snowy woodland visuals but is still capable of creating collages in your head.

A dark ambient winter wonderland.
