Reversioning classics: Submotion Orchestra – Show Me Love @Submotion @Joor_Nitth

Reaching back to 1993, Submotion Orchestra produce a new version of Robin S’ huge hit Show Me Love. The original was a big commercial vocal house tune but never really my thing. Here’s Joor Nitth to give you the lowdown.

After a decade of presence on the musical scene, Leeds’ Submotion Orchestra comes back with a surprise for the ears for their tenth anniversary: a sweet cover of the ’90s House anthem “Show Me Love” by Robin S, made popular by Stonebridge’s remix. Leaving aside their classic Jazzy-Dubstep crossover style in favour of a mellow-house trip, Submotion Orchestra accompanies Ruby’s velvety vocals with a carpet of joyful chimes and a background vinyl noise giving the track a finishing retro taste.
