Early ambient: Pyxis Iota – Quasars, Part II #Ambient #Synth #Drone #Experimental

Calling all space cadets. A bit of a late one last night at work. I mainly do ambient on a Sunday but let’s go early this time. Pyxis Iota from Finland offers the ambient experimental pleasures of Quasars, Part II. The track is taken from the album Precognition. It’s a lovely synths drone underpinned by some jittery pitter patter beats. Amusingly, Pysix Iota says of the beats, “the drum pattern starting from 2:44 has been heavily “influenced” by the iconic drum fill of the Phil Collins song “In the Air Tonight.”” The track is nonetheless a wonderful aural exploration of cosmic scale.
