Charles D is from NYC, USA and the track is Voltage from the EP of the same name. It’s a dark main room track full of power and menace. There’s the darkest, dingiest bass line that rule this track with a rod of iron. There’s no escaping from its almost electro bludgeon. But it’s offset by anxious synths that can’t keep still. They rev around intermittently offering blasts of melody before escaping again only to pop up later. This is peak time techno of the finest quality.
