Ambient techno with: Shirty – Meridian #Techno #Ambient
Let’s go a little with retro with today’s track. Shirty offers some ambient techno with a bit of an old school spin on Meridian.
It’s two years since we had this UK producer here. He cites influences ranging from New Order, Pink Floyd, Deadmau5, Nils Frahm, Moby, and Gabriel & Dresden. Meridian is definitely a techno track in the old school analogue buzz of the beats and bass. But there’s also a bit of a deftly handled almost pop sensibility in the arrangement of the synths. They cheerfully scamper around the sensible techno sounds in a frolic of day-glo colour compared to the muted greys of the beats. Definitely music for socially distanced dancing. Stay safe.
