Special version for Acidted: Padre Tóxico – Wait for it (hihatless) #Techno #Electronica

Here’s an extra special version of Padre Tóxico’s new track Wait For It. This is a big sprawling five and a half minute pummelling techno groove. But it also has a bit of an indie sensibility. There’s a sort of guitar fuzz to some of it that reminded me of Andy Weatherall’s remixes for Therapy? in the 90s. The kick drum is dominant and the synths buzz away behind. But the track is cute enough and thoughtful enough to find time for bird song ridden temporary pauses in the wall of noise. Delightfully, powerfully clever.
