Dark experimental electronica: Numeral – Sulusan #Electronic #Experimental #IDM #Ambient

After yesterday’s snow there’s a bright crispness around here and that’s reflected in Sulusan by Numeral.

Numeral is Swiss artist Philippe Adam, a drummer for various Swiss indie pop bands (The Lugubrious, Faux Tales). But he’s also been developing electronic soundscapes full of light and dark melodies. Sulusan is taken from his self-titled Numeral EP. It’s a moody piece of bright electronica. There’s obviously a care and attention devoted to the beats but they are carefully packed away in the background to provide a blank canvas onto which lots of bright and sometimes a touch jarring melodies and chimes are projected.
