Anxious trip hop with: Lisofv – Offortunity #TripHop #Downtempo #Electronic

In these days of extreme heat weather warnings here’s Lisofv with some trip hop that has an appropriately anxious edge.

Lisofv is from South Korea. The featured track is Offortunity from the Offeration album. Of it Lisofv says, “last year…during pandemic days, i felt all my relationship was broken and sociability was off. I made this EP from that inspiration.”

Offortunity opens with electronic keyboards and surface noise. Like all good trip hop should. That’s supplemented by strings and harder than usual beats. The beats and squelchy electronics give the track a groundedness. But the sawing strings provide an edgy sentiment. That’s then accentuated by a descending piano motif. It’s all a bit unhappy, disconsolate and ill at ease. Prepare to be perturbed.
