To start the week let’s have a blast of Techno from Victor Ruiz.
Victor Ruiz was born in Brazil but is currently based in Europe. He has been a constant presence on the DJ circuit since 2013. Today’s featured track is the lead track from his new Surrender EP.
Surrender is a big bouncy and pumping track. Very much the work of someone who is used to moving the dancefloor.
It opens with a dark and sleazy bass before brightening up into something a touch more euphoric. Abstract vocals celebrate something momentous. The track asks ‘what do you feel in your soul?’ This is techno as an emotionally heightened state. This will destroy main room dance floors.
Surrender isn’t a cry of hopelessness, but rather an order to surrender to the power of techno.
