It’s only been a couple of months but As Clouds Form return to Ambient Sunday with new track Reflections of Light.
As a reminder, As Clouds Form is a US/Polish duo working across acoustic guitar, synths and bass. Released earlier this month Reflections of Light is another weightless synth track.
Synths live as the heart of this track with a bass that owes more than a little to classical styles. There’s an expansiveness at play that’s characteristic of their work. Tones are held but deftly doge drone’s more leaden tropes. The sounds dance around like motes in a ray of sunshine. There’s a delicious dreaminess here that entices and holds on gossamer threads.
Everything sparkles fleetingly. And then it’s gone.
