Read The News are a Zurich-based duo of Lukas Mayer and Ryder Ulmer. They’ve been working together since 2020. Here’s their new release Longevity on Stockholm label Vivrant.

Longevity is more towards the techno end of melodic techno. This gives it a detached darkness that really makes the track. Even a bit of that almost dub techno reverb sound from the 90s. Effortlessly cool this dresses in black and smokes roll ups. This track is access all areas.

There’s a subtle melody here. But nothing too obtrusive to that calming groove and vaguely buzzing sense of delight. Red carpet techno on the runway.
