Ambient Sunday is going to have a glitchy IDM moment with Aerial2k.
Aerial2k is a producer from Wellington, New Zealand. Here’s a track from new Milk EP. Don’t know if it’s all about the cows but featured track is dorothy.
dorothy is a gentle soul. This starts off with an innocent almost fairground organ sound. It’s all twirls and slow curtsies. I know a cow can’t curtesy but bear with me. As the track gets into its stride there’s creaking and whirs and all manner of IDM sound. Is this the cowshed?
Eventually it gets further away from the gentle start s creaks and metallic sounds overtake the melody. But it never quite loses that sense of wonderful innocence. And at the end everything resolves itself back into some thing almost lovely but with the mechanical never too far away.
A patient and yet experimental track for your milkshake.
