P.F.M.

PFM provide some jazzy drum and bass. I have been rude about PFM before, especially their remix of David Holmes’ “Gone” but this pair of tracks is surprisingly good.

PFM stood for Progressive Future Music and were Mike Bolton and Jamie Saker at this point, with Saker leaving later and Bolton going it alone. From a 1996 release on Good Looking Records (LTJ Bukem’s label):

P.F.M. Mike and Jamies make up the two sides of “P.F.M.” Their influences ranged from the Motown sounds of their childhood, through to Jaz-Funk, Electro and now the products of the Rave scene.

For All of Us/The Mystics. These tracks were created with the intetion of bringing the vibes that P.F.M. (Mike) felt in the ‘old’ days, back to the future. “I tried to recapture the old feelings and atmosphere that I had as a young raver.” These ones are definitely for the original ravers!!
