NEW MUSIC: Kodomo - Disappearing Light [Shigeto Remix]

You might remember we had some IDM from New York’s Kodomo (Christopher Child) a few months ago. He’s back with a new September Sun EP. Here is a gorgeous track from the EP.

Last time, he gave reference points of Boards of Canada and Orbital. And his work did have the feel of those two. This track is more strongly ambient. It starts off in such minor chords that it is almost heart-breaking. But gentle clattering drums save the day. I thought the tracks last time were good, this is an improvement. Less bound by the reference points. Perfect for Ambient Sunday.
