Toni Tedesco feat. Pixie – Dust Of The Stars 2013 (Berlin Tribal RMX)

dustofthestars2013

Here’s a great remix of a great track that featured here last year to get your bank holiday off to a bang (if you’re in England and Wales that is).

Last July, we had Toni Tedesco’s Dust of the Stars, of which I said “this has Italo disco in its approach to progressive house, tempered with a cooler tech house / minimal Berlin sound. Lovely smooth flow to the track and the slightly austere vocals avoid melodrama.” This year, there’s a tribal remix by Dominik Berlin. This new remix does pretty much what you’d expect. It dials down the Italo disco and dials up the tech house and tribal house influences.  The vocals drift about in the background, so nothing distracts from the huge groove that this track sets out early and maintains all the way through. Beautifully dark and oppressive.

Here’s the original version:

And here’s another dark Dominik Berlin remix (for Spiedkiks):

Blurb: Dust Of The Stars 2013 (Berlin Tribal RMX) featuring brilliant space vocals by Pixie. This track is a spherical tribal trance rework by producer and remixer Dominik Berlin. Original track by Toni Tedesco.
